Large London period home for holiday lets, beautifully decorated, full of charming artwork and antique prints. 4-bedroom, 4-story with many beautiful outdoor spaces and views over London, well-situated on a pretty residential block lined with trees, blossoming wisteria and neatly kept gardens in posh Kensington.
The house is 4 stories and makes use of an interior spiral design around the staircase, with small rooms off the half landing levels and main rooms on each full floor. Because of this, guests here can enjoy great privacy while ensconced in their quarters and multi-use rooms, or come together to make use of the large communal and private outdoor spaces.
Garden Level: Large, open Kitchen & Dining Area with great dining table. Paved garden patio with outdoor seating.
Half Level: Book-filled study overlooking the garden.
Ground Floor: Entry hall. Large double sitting room with two couches, two arm chairs, fireplace, TV, baby Grand piano and occasional chairs. Small private patio.

This four bedroom, two and a half bathroom vacation home is terrific for couples, families or singles traveling together, particularly because of the flexible bed arrangements with the King/Twin option. The Master bedroom is much larger than the other three rooms, you may have to flip a coin with your traveling companions.
OUTDOOR LIVING SPACES
Between the landscaped patios, private garden and wonderful rooftop terrace (furnished), there are many options for al fresco dining and relaxation while enjoying good weather. Even after a snow, as you can see, the roof terrace is a gorgeous place to spend a little time admiring the London city views (bring your spot of tea or a coffee with you!).
The nearest underground stop Kensington High Street, just a quick 5-minute stroll away. There are an abundance of excellent restaurants, shops and amenities on the nearby High Street.
Shopping, markets, movie theaters and specialty restaurants abound in this neighborhood, with close access to Kensington Palace, Kensington Gardens and Holland Park, as well as Hyde Park and all the museums of South Kensington.
No pets and no smoking allowed at this large London short-let holiday home.
This property rents for a minimum of 7 nights, from any arrival day of the week. Any number of nights booked beyond the minimum 7 will be pro-rated at the weekly rate.
Included in the rental price is the cost of heat & electricity, use of appliances, and equipment at the property, weekly linen change if staying longer than 7 nights, cleaning at departure, and a Greeter who meet you at the flat to show you around, introduce you to the particulars of the property, the appliances, and answer any questions you have.
Check-in time is after 12pm, though sometimes earlier arrivals can be arranged.
Check-out time is before 10:30am, though sometimes late check-out can be arranged.
Arrivals before 8:30am or after 4:30pm will require transfer service (car hire from the airport or train station) with our London partners (at a cost of GBP 30 to GBP 90 per car, depending on location and number of travelers. Your driver will have the keys to your flat and will let you in. The Greeter will be by the following morning.
The property requires a security/damage deposit between £ 350 – £ 1000 to be held by credit card until after departure. The Greeter who meets you on arrival will return at departure to check you out of the property and assess for damages at the end of your stay.
The Abingdon Road house is multi-level, with all the living, dining and sleeping spaces spread out on every floor, therefor it is only suitable for those who can manage multiple short flight of stairs multiple times per day.
Kensington is a grand area, with Kensington Palace, Kensington Royal Gardens, and Hyde Park bordering this beautiful residential area. The gardens and grounds are open to everyone, and terrific places to explore. Holland Park offers golfing, Japanese gardens, and a large outdoor adventure playground area.
Kensington High Street is filled with designer storefronts, antique shops, and boutiques. Portobello Road Market in Notting Hill is quite close, as are all the popular (Victoria and Albert, Natural History, Science) and lesser known (London Toy and Model) museums.
Central London, the theater district, shopping,site-seeing attractions and museums (National Portrait Gallery, The British Museum) are all just a quick tube ride away.
If you are craving a little plant magic, explore the area gardens, or hop on a bus on Fulhman Road and ride the 6 or 7 miles out to Kew Gardens in Richmond.
